Youth Led Grant Panel member

About the Role As a member of TVA’s Youth-Led Grant Panel, you will play a key role in deciding how funding is awarded to local projects that benefit young people and the community. You’ll work as part of a team to review applications, share your views, and make fair and informed decisions about which projects to support. This is a fantastic opportunity to have your voice heard, gain decision-making experience, and make a positive difference in Torfaen. ________________________________________ Main Tasks • Review and discuss funding applications submitted by local groups and organisations. • Work with other panel members to make fair and balanced decisions. • Ask questions and seek clarification about applications where needed. • Contribute ideas on how funding can have the greatest impact for young people. • Take part in panel meetings (in person or online). • Represent the voice of young people in the community. ________________________________________ What You Will Gain • Experience in grant-making and decision-making. • Teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. • Confidence in expressing your views. • An opportunity to shape projects that benefit young people in Torfaen. • Volunteer hours that can be used for awards (e.g., Welsh Bacc, Duke of Edinburgh, Tempo Time Credits). • A chance to meet new people and have your voice heard.
