Youth Led Grant Panel Lead

About the Role The Lead of TVA’s Youth-Led Grant Panel helps guide and support the panel in making decisions about how funding is awarded to local projects. As Lead, you’ll ensure everyone’s voice is heard, help keep meetings on track, and work closely with TVA staff to make sure the panel runs smoothly. This is a fantastic leadership opportunity for a young person who wants to develop facilitation, decision-making, and teamwork skills while making a positive difference in Torfaen. ________________________________________ Main Tasks • Chair or co-chair panel meetings with the support of TVA staff. • Encourage all panel members to share their views and ensure fair discussions. • Help the panel reach clear and fair decisions on funding applications. • Act as the main point of contact between TVA staff and panel members. • Support new panel members to feel confident and included. • Represent the youth panel at events, meetings, or presentations. • Give feedback to TVA on how the panel is working and suggest improvements. ________________________________________ What You Will Gain • Leadership and facilitation experience. • Strong communication and organisational skills. • Confidence in leading meetings and decision-making. • Experience that looks great on CVs, job, or college/university applications. • Volunteer hours that can be used for awards (e.g., Welsh Bacc, Duke of Edinburgh, Tempo Time Credits). • The opportunity to directly shape projects that benefit young people in Torfaen.
