Join us for a training event learning to survey and ID the Six-belted Clearwing moth using pheromone lures!
As part of the Healthy Planet, Healthy People Project, Torfaen County Borough Council are running a variety of wildlife survey training events. This training is being delivered by Glo i Natur CIC’s founder Liam Olds.
You will learn how to recognise suitable Six-belted Clearwing habitat, how to use pheromone lures to survey moths, identify Six-belted Clearwings and alternative Clearwing survey techniques. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a new, interesting survey method!
Order of events:
Please meet at Blaenserchan Local Nature Reserve car park for a 10am start, there is parking and a lane with spaces, W3W/ movement.nozzle.unscathed
The training will run from 10am – 1pm, it will involve walking through the reserve.

This event is free to attend, with a capacity of 10 people.

Please bring yourself a drink and any ID guides you wish to use. We will have some ID resources to use.
Please dress appropriately for the weather with good walking shoes.
