Provide services for people aged 50+ living in Torfaen.
Age Connects Torfaen is the operating title of Age Concern Torfaen, a registered charity for older people living in Torfaen. Since 1989, we've been working to get older people the help they want, when they want it.
We offer a wide range of information, advice and services to help older people stay living independently for as long as possible. Our dedicated staff and volunteer team offer independent and confidential information, advice and support on a variety of issues such as care, legal, health, housing, income and benefits.
Our main client group are those over 50 living throughout Torfaen. Many face issues such as mobility and health, loneliness and isolation, financial/ low income, responsibilities as a carer, requiring support in the home or in the local community. Other clients include volunteers and carers who seek support. We currently provide the following services:
