The main difference between Yin yoga & yang styles of yoga is the pace at which you get into the postures & the length of time you hold them for. At first it may feel different from other styles of yoga but as you progress you will enjoy the calm feeling Yin Yoga brings. Every one will be working to their own capability and range of motion. The purpose of holding the postures is to allow the fascia to soften & over time can help to avoid injuries. As we age our fascia hardens and this limits our flexibility & if our tendons & ligaments are overstretched during a fall or overuse, we can suffer considerable pain. Practicing Yin yoga on a regular basis can help avoid this.

All abilities welcome!
