Join your local relay heroes as we unite to celebrate survivorship, remember loved ones and show that together we are beating cancer. We have so much to see and do, even if you can't take part.

Most people have heard of Race for Life, but have you heard of Relay for Life? To raise money for Cancer Research UK, we will walk around Pontypool Park for 24 hours. Team members pass the baton to each other and raise money by being sponsored to walk around the park, come rain or shine, we will be lighting up Pontypool Park with the spirit of hope. Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising in the fight to beat cancer.

Teams of friends and family fundraise for life-saving research, then unite as a community at a weekend festival to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’ve made in research.

We will have music from SW20, including a silent disco in the evening. There will be craft stalls, food vendors, a dog show, and themed laps (which are hilarious).

We have afternoon tea for our survivors to celebrate their journey, and each one of them is truly special. We will have music provided by many talented individuals and choirs.

11 am Saturday the 6th of July sees us starting off on our first lap - Come and cheer us on

At 9:30 p.m. Relay for Life will briefly pause for the Candle of Hope ceremony. All survivors, relayers, supporters, and visitors are invited to gather at the Bandstand in Pontypool Park—a poignant moment to pay tribute to every life touched by cancer.

Candle Bags will be available for decoration and dedication, honouring those lost, those on their cancer journey, or celebrating survivors.

11 am on Sunday the 7th of July, we complete our final lap - Come back to cheer the teams for making it through the night, without stopping, without failing to do all they can to beat cancer.

This really is an event not to be missed, and we need your support, as together, we will beat cancer!
