Role Purpose
The Family Hub Volunteer supports the delivery of fun, safe, and engaging activities for children and families attending the Family Hub. This role helps create a welcoming environment where children aged 4 to 11 years can play, learn, and socialise, while supporting families to feel comfortable and supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children while they play games on Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Switch consoles
- Assisting with setting up and supervising activities such as board games, crafts, and toys.
- Helping to prepare and serve simple refreshments such as hotdogs (following food hygiene guidance)
- Engaging positively with children and families to help create a welcoming environment
- Helping to keep activity areas clean, tidy, and safe
- Supporting staff with setting up and packing away activities and equipment
- Encouraging inclusive play and positive behaviour
- Following safeguarding, health, safety, and food hygiene procedures at all times
