We provide weekly cardiac rehab exercise classes for people with heart conditions or who are at risk of developing heart disease
If you have a heart problem, or are at risk of developing heart disease, regular Cardiac Rehab Exercise is one of the best things you can do to keep well and stay out of hospital.
That’s why we provide weekly Cardiac Rehab Exercise Classes at halls and community centres across North Gwent.
Our friendly 1-hour classes are:
- run by specially trained Cardiac Rehab Exercise Instructors.
- suitable for all fitness levels, with exercises tailored to your needs
- designed to be safe, effective and fun!
Who are our classes for?
1. People with heart conditions. That means anyone who’s had:
- a heart attack or cardiac arrest
- a heart procedure such as stents or bypass surgery
- a pacemaker or defibrillator
- a diagnosis of heart failure
- irregular heartbeat, angina or other heart condition
2. People who are at risk of developing heart disease. You’re more likely to develop heart problems if you:
- smoke
- are obese (very overweight)
- have high blood pressure
- have high cholesterol
- have diabetes
- have a family history of heart disease
- suffer from stress
- don’t exercise
We also welcome partners, other relatives, friends and carers!
