HDRC Torfaen is part of the National Institute for Health and Care Research, hosted by Torfaen Council.
The team will carry out extensive research and data analysis to understand why some people and communities in Torfaen have poor mental and physical health, and what can be done to improve them.
Over the next five years, the team will:
- Use research and evidence to make decisions
- Involve local people in health research priorities
- Link data with strategic decision-making
- Share learning
- Evaluate impact and interventions
