Upcycle Lead - Recover Ed
To lead and inspire a small team of volunteers in delivering creative, sustainable upcycling activities at Gardd o Gobaith. This role supports environmental awareness, skill-sharing, and community wellbeing by transforming unwanted materials into useful or decorative items for use around the garden or for fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate upcycling activities using donated or discarded materials.
• Inspire and supervise a team of volunteers, offering guidance and support.
• Promote sustainability and creativity within the garden setting.
• Work with the wider Gardd o Gobaith team to identify project needs (e.g., seating, planters, signage).
• Maintain a safe and inclusive working environment.
• Record activities, outcomes, and stories to share impact with the community and supporters. Skills and
Qualities Needed:
• Passion for sustainability, creativity, and community engagement.
• Practical skills in upcycling, DIY, woodworking, or crafting.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to plan projects and motivate others.
• Patience, adaptability, and a collaborative approach.
• Experience working with volunteers or community groups (desirable).
