Bringing a child into the world is the most precious gift but it can also be very hard. If you live in a Flying Start area and you have a child between the ages of 0-4 years old, you can benefit from a number of services to help you and your family. We are here to support you to give your child the best possible start in life.
Flying Start is funded by the Welsh Government and consists of 4 main elements:
- Extra Health Visiting & Midwifery Service
- Playgroup/Childcare place for 2-3 Year Old Children
- Access to Parenting Groups
- Support for your child’s speech, language and communication
Every child has a right to flourish and develop to their full potential. Flying Start provides intensive support services to 0-4 year old children and their families within specific areas of Torfaen. The programme aims to support families and make a difference to children in their earliest years of life.
