Minibus driver - Able
Role Purpose
To provide a safe, reliable, and friendly transport service for individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to attend the Able centre and access vital activities, support, and community opportunities.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• Collect service users from their homes and transport them safely to and from the Able centre.
• Support passengers with getting in and out of the vehicle as required.
• Provide a friendly and respectful atmosphere during journeys, ensuring passengers feel comfortable and secure.
• Maintain clear communication with the Volunteer Coordinator regarding schedules, changes, or any issues during transport.
• Carry out basic vehicle safety checks and ensure the vehicle is clean and roadworthy if using an organisation-provided vehicle.
• Report any concerns regarding the wellbeing of service users to the appropriate staff member.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the values and policies of Able, including safeguarding and equality.
