“Carnival” Flotilla of Canal Boats

SAVE THE DATE! Sunday 25th August 2024 Our Summer event “The Carnival Flotilla” is just days away. We are thrilled to announce confirmation that our friends Cwmbran & District Pipes & Drums and new friends Cwmni Gwerin Pontypwl Traditional Welsh Folk Dancers will both be appearing at Pontymoile Basin on the morning of the flotilla to celebrate our wonderful Mon & Brec Canal. We can also announce a very special guest Travis George Finalist at Britain’s Got Talent, who will be cruising in the lead boat Skippy from Pontymoile to Five Locks where he will perform to entertain us as the boats arrive. Judging of the “carnival themed” boats will take place later at The Open Hearth. A packed day of fun, colour, music and excitement for all the family. See you all there!
