VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: SAY APHASIA CWMBRAN
Help us support the local community in Cwmbran!
Do you have a couple of hours once a month to help people living with Aphasia?
Aphasia is a communication disability, usually caused by a stroke or brain injury. It can make everyday tasks like talking, reading, or writing very difficult. Our drop-in groups provide a vital, relaxed space where people can practice communication and rebuild their confidence without any pressure.
We are looking for friendly, patient, and empathetic volunteers to help support our Cwmbran group at Carro Lounge.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You don't need to be a speech expert! We are looking for people who:
-
Are great listeners: Someone who can patiently encourage members to express themselves.
-
Are friendly and welcoming: Help new members feel at ease as soon as they arrive.
-
Can facilitate conversation: Help keep small group chats flowing over a coffee.
-
Are reliable: Someone who can commit to our monthly Tuesday morning sessions.
WHERE & WHEN
We meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.
LOCATION: Carro Lounge, 7-49 Gwent Square, Cwmbran, NP44 1PL
