Cwmavon Village Produce and Craft Show

Come and show your skills at Cwmavon's Produce & Craft Show.
 
We will be welcoming participants from all over the area and beyond! Participate on our popular competition by showing your best produce and craft skills. Everyone is welcome!
 

Details and timings: 

  • Entry price £1. Children FREE.
  • Entries: Competitor entries to Cwmavon Village Hall are between 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM (entry forms to be completed at the hall).
  • Judging: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM.
  • Viewing: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
  • Announcement of results: 3:00 PM.
  • Raffe: 3:15 PM.
  • Sale donated produce: 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM.

Show Classes

Class 1: Flowers
A. 5 specimen blooms displayed in a jam jar.
B. 3 single Roses mixed, or single variety.
C. 3 Dahlias mixed, or single variety.
D. Any plant in a pot.
E. Floral arrangement: centerpiece for dining table.

Class 2: Vegetables
A. 3 potatoes.
B. 6 runner beans.
C. 3 onions.
D. 3 carrots.
E. 3 beetroots.
F. 2 courgettes.
G. 1 cucumber.
H. Small basket of mixed vegetables.
I. 3 bulbs of garlic.
J. 6 french beans.
K. 1 marrow.
L. Jar of mixed herbs.
M. 1 unusual-shaped vegetable with caption.
 
Class 3: Fruit
A. 4 tomatoes on the vine.
B. Blackberries in a punnet.
C. 3 plums.
D. 3 apples.
E. 3 pears.
 
Class 4: Domestic Produce and Baking
A. Jam of jar (any type).
B. Chutney (any type) .
C. Jar of pickles.
D. 3 fruit scones.
E. 3 cheese scones.
F. 3 Welsh cakes.
G. Victoria sandwich.
H. Any fruit cake.
I. Home made wine (all varieties).
J. Jar of honey (locally produced).
K. Beauty products (locally produced).
 
Class 5: Children's Classes
A. Animal made from vegetables.
B. Cress in an eggshell
C. Something you have made yourself.
D. 5 cupcakes.
E. Edible necklace.
F. Garden on a plate.
 
Class 6: Handicraft
A. Needlework (embroidery, cross stitch, tapestry, etc).
B. Knit work or crochet.
C. Woodwork.
D. Other (spinning, weaving, felting, leather, etc).
 
Class 7: Eggs
A. 3 Eggs on a bed of your own choice.
 
Class 8: Photography
A. Local scenes.
B. Animals.
C. "A picture of me". With caption.
 
Class 9: Painting
A. Any.
