Hello Marauders ☀️☀️⛰️ On the 10th November we are venturing to Abergavenny for a gentle hike along The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Most of this walk is either across riverside meadows, along a canal towpath or along the track of a disused railway. The sections along the banks of the River Usk and towpath of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal are especially attractive and there are some fine views over the Usk Valley to the Sugar Loaf and Ysgyryd Fawr. In addition both the canal and the disused railway are of interest to those keen in industrial history. This is a level 6 on our 1-10 walk difficulty scale. The walk is 5 1/2 miles. Please park off castle street in a free carpark. Use the directions - I’m sharing a what3words address to help you find this specific location.
