"HARMONICA COURSE IN CWMBRAN IN MARCH 2026!"
Following on from the very well-attended "Harmonica Taster Day" at Cwmbran Library in January, we now have a course for you all. See flyer for more details or read on...
Learn to play ROCK, BLUES + SOUL on a diatonic harmonica (also known as a Blues Harp) at Cwmbran Library on each Thursday morning in March 2026, 10am - midday on 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th March). If well-attended there will be even more harmonica courses available at this library.
You will be taught by a qualified, experienced teacher who is also a gigging musician, member of the Musicians Union, outreach programme officer for "Harmonica UK" (charity promoting the use of harmonicas in education) and also a music workshop leader at "Bristol Folk House" adult education centre since 2004 (Aidan Sheehan).
No need to read music - no need to have played a musical instrument previously either. Beginners are very welcome. It'll be in a private space, Room C, Cwmbran Library so no one will tell us to keep quiet :¬)
Free parking, easy to get to town centre location.
Total course fee is £60 yet if you pre-book it's discounted to an affordable £48. Space limited so prebooking is wise for all the right reasons.
Why learn the harmonica? Good for your lungs, great for your wellbeing, an opportunity to meet likeminded people and make friends. It's a marvellous chance to learn some cool tunes on a real yet completely affordable, portable musical instrument made famous by people like Little Walter, Slim Harpo, John Lennon or Mick Jagger in a supportive class environment with a helpful teacher
