Carers Trust South East Wales is asking our friends and supporters to help us take 683,000 steps in support of unpaid carers this Carers Week 7 – 13 June.
Staff, volunteers, trustees and friends of CTSEW will be walking the 683,000 steps to represent the number of carers currently estimated to be in Wales – an increase of over 200,000 people as a result of the pandemic.
We’re asking anyone who would like to get involved to simply take a walk during Carers Week and log the number of steps you’ve achieved. It doesn’t matter if it’s 100 or 10,000 – every step counts! Please send in photos of yourself on your walk to [email protected] and tag us into your social media posts during the week.
There are lots of free or affordable apps you can use to count your steps. This guide may help you choose a suitable option.
The theme for Carers Week 2021 is Making Caring Visible and Valued. Carers Trust South East Wales will be highlighting a range of information, stories and views about how our teams are working to support carers now and in the future.
