Community Garden volunteer - Ponthir Village Hall
About the Role:
Love being outdoors and getting your hands dirty? Join us as a community garden support volunteer and help us grow fresh food for local people to enjoy. Our garden is a welcoming space for all, and volunteers play a vital part in planting, growing, maintaining, and harvesting crops – some of which are sold in the hall. No experience is needed – just enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a passion for community!
Key Responsibilities:
- Help plant, water, weed, and harvest crops
- Assist in general garden maintenance and tidying
- Support the preparation of produce for sale and donation
- Work as part of a friendly team of volunteers
- Follow basic health and safety guidelines in the garden
- Share ideas and contribute to creating a welcoming space for everyone
What We’re Looking For:
- Enjoyment of outdoor, hands-on tasks
- A friendly, team-focused attitude
- Willingness to muck in and learn as you go
- No gardening experience required, just a can-do approach!
