Role Purpose
The Communications Ambassador supports Tidy Butt and Grounded by helping with social media content, newsletters, LinkedIn posts, and general marketing activities. This volunteer role plays a key part in sharing our message, promoting events, and communicating our impact to the wider community. It is ideal for someone creative, organised, and passionate about community engagement and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and schedule social media posts for Tidy Butt and Grounded.
- Assist with writing and designing newsletters, email campaigns, and website updates.
- Support the development of marketing materials for events and community activities.
- Help ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communications.
- Monitor and engage with social media interactions where appropriate.
- Support tracking and reporting on engagement and reach of communications.
- Contribute ideas for campaigns, stories, and content that highlight community impact.
- Work closely with the team to ensure communications are timely, inclusive, and effective.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Interest in social media, marketing, or communications.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow brand/communication guidelines.
Desirable
- Experience managing social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter).
- Experience using content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Experience creating newsletters or email campaigns.
- Understanding of digital marketing and community engagement.
- Previous volunteering or work experience in communications, media, or marketing.
