Role Purpose: Citizens Advice Torfaen are looking to enrich its Board of Trustees and are particularly interested in people with back grounds in IT networks, HR and legal, to join the seven other Board members to take our organisation into the next phase of its development.
As a Trustee, you will be part of the governing Board that oversees Citizens Advice Torfaen. Trustees work together to set the strategy, ensure good governance, and support the organisation in delivering high-quality advice and advocacy services to the community.
What you can expect to do:
- Provide leadership, insight, and guidance on the direction of the organisation
- Use your skills and experience to strengthen decision-making and governance
- Ensure the organisation remains sustainable, accountable, and effective
- Champion the values of Citizens Advice and act in the best interests of the community
- Attend bi-monthly Board meetings (in person or remotely) and contribute to discussions Support the organisation during a key period of growth and development

Location: Main office in Pontypool (meetings also available online)
Meetings: Every two months, usually at 5pm on a Thursday Commitment: Attendance at Board meetings, with occasional additional input where needed.
