The Artifact Display Organiser is responsible for arranging and maintaining the museum’s collections for public display. This role ensures that exhibits are presented in a professional, informative, and engaging manner, helping visitors understand the history and significance of Blaenavon’s heritage. Key Tasks Plan and set up displays of artifacts, ensuring they are visually appealing and accessible to visitors. Handle artifacts carefully, following museum conservation and handling guidelines. Rotate exhibits periodically to showcase different items and maintain visitor interest. Research and provide accurate information for display labels, descriptions, and interpretive materials. Assist with updating exhibit signage and educational materials as needed. Ensure the display areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Collaborate with museum staff and other volunteers to coordinate exhibitions and events. Monitor visitor feedback to improve displays and engagement. Support special exhibitions, events, or temporary displays as required. Maintain records of artifacts on display, including location, condition, and movement.
