Purpose of the Role:
To help raise awareness of Gardd o Gobaith’s mission, events, and activities by supporting the creation and sharing of engaging content on social media platforms. This role plays a key part in growing our community online, celebrating volunteer efforts, and promoting sustainability and wellbeing through our garden-based work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create, schedule, and post content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
• Promote events, workshops, volunteer stories, and garden updates.
• Take and edit photos or videos (where possible) or use supplied content.
• Respond to comments and messages in a timely, friendly manner.
• Work with the team to develop a consistent and positive online presence.
• Monitor engagement and suggest ideas to increase reach and impact.
Social media volunteer - Recover Ed
Skills and Qualities Needed:
• Confident using social media platforms and basic scheduling tools.
• Creative with a good eye for visual content and storytelling.
• Clear and friendly written communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
• Interest in community, sustainability, wellbeing, or gardening (helpful but not essential).
• Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, or video editing (bonus but not required).
