To help promote Blaenavon Museum by creating engaging social media content, sharing museum news and events, and helping grow the museum’s online presence within the community and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and schedule posts for the museum’s social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter).
- Share updates about exhibitions, events, activities, and local heritage stories.
- Take and edit photos or short videos of the museum, displays, and community events (where appropriate).
- Engage positively with followers by responding to comments and messages (as agreed with staff).
- Monitor social media trends and suggest new ideas to increase engagement.
- Help ensure the museum’s online presence is friendly, professional, and community-focused.
- Work with museum staff to ensure posts reflect accurate and up-to-date information.
