“As an Employment Law/HR professional with over 20 years-experience and having attended many courses and seminars in relation to “Mental Health” and mindfulness, RecoverED’s awareness training was one of the most knowledgeable and informative seminars that I have ever attended, both locally and at a national level”.
Besides the influence of the Power, Threat Meaning framework, the Mental Health Awareness (Wales) session has been developed for over a decade through contributions from educators, philosophers, service providers and our peers accessing services. As a Peer-reviewed/driven session, the MHA (Wales) has now been delivered to thousands of people from all walks of life and across a variety of sectors including the University of South Wales (USW). In fact, the USW is increasingly making the Mental Health Awareness (Wales) session mandatory for some of its professional and health-based programmes. This recognises the important contribution to professional practice the Mental Health Awareness (Wales) session offers.
Upon completion attendees will have a broad and non-clinical understanding of mental health/emotional wellbeing and how participants can manage both their own and maybe help support someone else’s wellbeing. The session is completed with an extensive resource pack which offers up-to-date guidance to signposting for existing services.
We can deliver in the workplace, local venues or our purpose built cabin (would fit up to 10 people) based in Cwmbran.
