As a Community Connector, you will play a vital role in representing the Stroke Association at local events, helping us raise awareness of stroke and the support available. You’ll be a friendly face at information stands, chatting with members of the public, answering questions, and signposting people to resources. This role is particularly suited to individuals with lived experience of stroke – whether as a survivor, carer, or family member – who feel passionate about helping others and raising awareness in their community.
Key Responsibilities
• Attending local events and community venues to represent the Stroke Association.
• Manning information stands and engaging with the public in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Sharing your story or lived experience if you feel comfortable doing so
• Distributing Stroke Association materials and helping people understand stroke risks, recovery, and support available.
• Signposting people to local services or support groups where appropriate.
• Feeding back key insights from events to staff to help improve our community outreach
