What is a Champion Our Cause Volunteer?
Do you feel a connection with our cause? Could you raise awareness in your local community of the support and services offered by Tenovus cancer care? This might involve liaising with local GP surgeries or cancer services to share promotional materials, signpost individuals, or deliver talks. Would you enjoy being a part of our community engagement team?
What’s involved?
- Working closely with your Community Engagement officer
- Identify suitable locations/organisations/outlets for placement of Tenovus Cancer Care promotional materials
- Host an information stand in various local venues and provide a warm welcome to people affected by cancer
- Raise awareness of Tenovus Cancer Care services, taking referrals, or passing on messages, where appropriate
- Provide feedback to Tenovus Cancer Care to better understand the needs and issues in the local community
- If you are comfortable doing so - deliver short talks/presentations to small groups about our services

- Driving Licence or willingness to travel by public transport to venues
